Springfield,Mo.-With a gloomy forecast of Rain Thursday and Friday,SpringfieldRaceway Owners Jerry Hoffman and Doug Bland have decided to make the Octoberfast At Springfield a 1 day event on Sat October 10th with Racing to start at 5PM.
Racing will include action in the A-Mods,Bombers,SportMods,Legends,Pro-4's and PureStocks.Drivers will draw for qualifying heats and passing points will determine feature line-up.PureStocks will be ran heads-up from their qualifying heats.
With the event being dropped to a 1 day event,the A-Mod feature will pay $1,000 to win while starting the feature will pay $250 with a $65 Entry Fee(This does not include the drivers pitpass).Bombers will compete for $300 to win and $50 to start.Entry Fee is $10.The Ever growing SportMods will battle for $400 to win and $65 to start with a $15 entry fee.Legends will race for $200 to win and $50 to start with a $10 Entry Fee.Pro-4 Latemodels will compete for $125 to win and $30 to start.No Entry Fee. The area's newest class the PureStocks will battle for $125 to win and $25 to start with no Entry Fee.PureStocks will need to bring their tracks rules for Tech.
An added event will be the Fastest Sheriff's Race at intermission.The Sheriffs Race is a Race were local Sheriff’s of Greene County, Christian County, Douglas County, Pope County, Taney County &Webster County will be doing battle on the 1/4 mile clay oval at the Springfield Raceway as they will find out who the fastest Sheriff in the Ozarks will be. There will be a fundraiser for the Charity One Missing Link.One Missing Link is charity in help find missing children in Missouri.
Hardee's of Springfield will be this seasons Sponsor for the Octoberfast.
PitGates will open at 1PM.Drawing for positions and to qualify through passing points will end at 4:15.Drivers Meeting at 4:30 and Racing starts at 5PM sharp.All pitpasses will be $30.
Grandstand gates will open at 3PM.Adult Admission will be $15 with kids prices set for 6-12 $5 and 5 and under Free.
