Got a 350 trans in mine, the key to it is use good frictions and a 10" converter with an external trans cooler like a Hayden 1404 or 1405. Also heat is the number one killer of automatics( that is what the cooler is for) so use a good type of fluid. I know synthetics are more expensive, but it would be worth it in the long run, besides you shouldnt have to change it but once during the season.
