I have not seen the video or the race. In my short time racing at creek we met a lot of great people at that track. In all divisions. I watched the minis run weekly that year (2001) and the cars with a good working suspension always run up front and the cars without working suspensions could run fast for a few laps then bobble, push up the track or get real loose at some point wich caused real good racing to become a blow out by the better handling car. If I were racing minis and had a low budget I would try to buy shocks first # 4'S possibly # 3's for (supper dry slick) for the rear. A #5 or for the right front and a # 5-3 ( 5 down - 3 up )for the left front to start out with for a dry slick. Then I would go for springs talk to the local car builder about spring rates but my guess would be roughly 180 RR 140 LR 700 RF 600 LF.
There are some real cheap race track crutches also.
Try reverse stagger for a car that always pushes.
Wheel spacers on the right front and or left rear to tighten car.spacers for left front right rear to loosen. might require longer lug bolts.
Radiator overflow bottle (I use a gallon antifreeze jug with a hole cut in the lid for the hose) to keep water from getting on tires while racing.
The fastest car will not always win but the good handling car can be in a place to win more often.
Good memories from Creek County speedway, I might have to stop in this year and watch. Maybe hit the casinos on the way there. Good luck to you all on racing on one fun little track.
Rob
