Posted by dennis how about Satterfields on false river in New Roads?? www.satterfields.com. their dining room isnt really big unless they have extra rooms that i havent seen. they have a few "flea market" type shops attached to restaurant. i think it'd be about the same distance as the oak alley ride. another GREAT restaurant is The Caboose, in Independence. abt 10 miles north of Hammond. Great Black Angus steaks. Not a lot of parking area tho.. 985.878.6408. havent been there in quite a while.. i can only assume its still there. seems like i talked myself out of that last one.. but the steaks are REALLY good. perhaps we could get them to fax us a menu w/prices..
