Posted by DSGB I rarely post on these boards...But i have been thinking about this only because I have been looking for a nice stud to replace my male and I see that nobody is actually breeding for longevity.This might be a contraversial subject and this is not a dig or meant to insult anybody, but,Who is actually breeding for longevity??I see alot of breeders, breeding for looks alone but is anybody actually breeding dogs that are 2+ years old???I have noticed that alot of nice bully american bulldogs don't even make it past 2 years old these days.Seems like more and more breeders are breeding for traits such as blue eyes, no pigment, and liver noses.I think it is sad to buy an americanbulldog and make it part of your family, only to see it die after 2 years old. Now i know some of this doens't apply to Johnson breeders, but i just figured i'd try and get everyones opinion on this. it was taken off the Bullyvard
