Planning Board meeting at Town Hall
on Monday January 22th at 7:00 p.m.
for the approval of
61 TOWNHOUSES
(Village Crossing)
TO BE BUILT BETWEEN, BRIDGE ST. AND TREBLE COVE RD
Town Meeting and Zoning Board
MUST BE STOPPED at Planning Board NOW
WE must not let Wear Down tactics get this APPROVED
through lack of taxpayer interest
Issues STILL EXIST:
• 350 Town Home development already approved by Zoning Board at Holland site
o Safety & flow issues from additional traffic
• Additional 20+ acres to still be developed for Village Crossing-our local proponents propose this for conservation land given to the town
• “Proposed” over 55+ -- could be reclassified to sell to anyone on open market – state laws override local by-laws
o Cost related issues on town infrastructure and services to be paid by taxpayers, if reclassified
• Flooding/Drainage/Sewerage/Wetland issues
o Conservation Commission—meeting Wed. Jan. 24th
• Devaluation of existing surrounding homes
o Current surrounding area are single family homes
o Community quality and safety concerns!
