Since joining the group, I realize how little people know about this
power plant other than the welcome to the neighborhood pack that was
received. I called the Tewksbury Advocate and they plan to do a story
on the plant. They knew absolutely nothing about it. Had a long
conversation with them today, pointed them to the website. Then plan
on coming by my house Monday and going to the site.
Also, called Cressman in Tewksbury. He does have knowledge and
submitted comments in writing regarding his concerns about closeness to
the Concord River.
Maybe it's time for neighbors to get organized?

I spoke with Rep. Miceli today. He's a strong environmentalist and
knew nothing at all -- he was shocked! Neither he nor his staff had
any knowledge. He's already set up a meeting for Wednesday. I have to
call him Thursday. He has very, very serious concerns regarding
storage of fuels, proximity to Concord River, and just the fact that it
seems to be so "under the radar."

As I've stated previously, there's power in numbers. The Globe
Northwest is submitting a story on Wednesday, so should be in
Sunday's paper. I asked the writer to contact Caroline on this board
as she is armed with facts and data. Caroline has also agreed to
meet with Jen from the Lowell Sun.
In addition, I've contacted the head of the PTA at the North
Billerica Elementary School as they are probably a mile, mile-and-a-
half from the site. I emailed the link to the proposed site and it
will be made available to all parents.
I'll speak to Rep. Miceli on Thursday and see what info he has
gathered.
Meanwhile, Chelsea has done an excellent job of organizing. They've
collected thousands of signatures via petition and have shown up in
large numbers at all meetings. Collecting signatures to present at
Billerica meeting could also be a way to go.
