Posted by joe fitzpatrick on March 15, 2007, 9:53 am, in reply to "FINANCIAL: Comparisons Please Comment/ You need to join the other site people" our 1500 hours at the peak period are worth three and four times more than than the average price in ISO the rest of the hours of the year and the market pays for that value particularly as we enter shortage periods the next three summers- one of the reasons is that older (by definition higher emitting plants) are only running during the peak periods- check out todays price in the ISO and we'll compare that to the prices in the summer heat wave period
