Just would like you all to know this is not a handful of people speaking! We just keep posting on this Board for the shy folks who are leary about join our group.
some of the rest of you I have not met yet. April 24th the date is
set.
"Residents will have their say in the first of several public
hearings for a power plant proposed for North Billerica, as
proponents seek one of three state permits needed for the project.
The hearing, scheduled for Tuesday, April 24, at 7 p.m., will
include a presentation by DG Clean Power, to the Energy Facilities
Sitting Board, a board under the Department of Telecommunications
and Energy that licenses the construction of major energy
infrastructures in the state. The hearing will be held in town, with
a location to be announced."

revenue figure came from? Could someone ask our town assessor?
just Billerica, but the future of the whole area, a chance to ask
some serious questions and present their opposition if they choose!
All towns are welcome! It will be great to see how large of a crowd
shows up, because many members of our group have dedicated a lot of
our valued personal time into investigating unpleasant facts and
digesting the "cold hard reality" of how devastating the wrong
decision may be! If the indifference of a self-consumed society
which many wish to live in today, becomes evident by a poor showing
the power plants will be built. Yes erihu73, I did say "power
plants" if you were not aware these same fine men whom some of us
have already met with are proposing to put one in Lowell too! After
all they would not want any other town to feel left out of the gravy
train of funds. Who knows what other towns are in their plans!
walk the walk, so all I can say to everyone is, don't be shy, go out
and inform your neighbors and friends to join our group, have them
put aside April 24th on their calendar, because this is not one
towns issue, it will take all surrounding towns and a huge effort if
anyone is opposed to having this area of the state turned into an
electrical supplying dumping ground. Until I can be convinced
differently, this is how I am forced to think.
us know if you can put aside some of your time.
Keep sending out letters to all your Federal, State, and Local
elected representatives and maybe even the watersheds and EPA.
