Posted by Wallace on April 25, 2007, 10:22 pm Dear Ms. Urman: Re: Power Plant Proposal EFSB 07-2 in the Town of Billerica I am a resident of Billerica who would be subject to the pollution from the power plant, proposed for siting by the Montomery Energy Billerica Power Plant in Billerica and whose home and property would be effected by the existence of such a power plant. I sincerely hope that the Governor will only appoint members to the Siting Committee who will not financially gain from the development of such a power plant, and only appoint people whose interest lie with the health and welfare of the people and environment of this part of Massachusetts. I would like to discuss with you the possibility of my being one of the three public members appointed by the Governor, and will call you to set up an appointment. If I am not to be appointed as a member of the siting board, then I offer to be either an intervening or a limited participant at your discretion, providing you realize that I do not have funds available to hire a lawyer, but would like to ask questions and make comments at the siting meetings. Finally, I request that the deadline to send petitions to be members, intervening parties and limited participants be moved forward until at least June 1st, as I and several other individuals were expecting forms to request such positions, to be available to at the April 24th hearing at the Marshall Middle School, and I doubt all the other individuals can meet the May 1st deadline with a letter such as this. Sincerely,
216.99.241.46
Possible letter to send to become member, intervening party or limited participant of the Billerica Power Plant Siting Committe. Edit as you wish:
Ms. Selma Urman, Presiding Officer
Energy Facilities Siting Board
