Billerica -
Developers of a power plant proposed for North Billerica have scaled
back the scope of the project, with a decreased wattage and fewer
turbines than outlined in the proponents’ original plan – a move
that marks the second time the specifics of the plan has changed.
Montgomery Energy Billerica Power Partners said the plan now calls
for a six turbine, 348-megawatt peaking power plant, to be built off
Billerica Avenue, which would supply power 1,500 hours each year
during times of significant demand on energy.
Clean Power, changed the scope to an eight-turbine, 480-megawatt
plant in early 2007.

Comments Welcome:
My comment is, If the reports which were submitted had never been
questioned and this project flew threw the approval process as some
intended, do you think DG Clean Power would have reduced the size of
the plant?
Think about it, these people cannot even tell the truth in the name
of their company, these are not wind generators or solar panels we
are talking about here.
The questions are not finished yet and why do some people have such
a problem with telling the truth?
The Billerica Watchers Group doesn’t a probelm with the truth and
that is why as more and more members of our community become aware
of the truth, which is our best weapon, this questionable proposal
will face even more scrutiny!
The only way we can lose is if no one wishes to listen to the truth,
so get out there, and inform your friends and neighbors to meet with
us on Tuesday nights at BATV at 7:00PM.
