It is important that regulation applies equally and consistently.” IT EVEN GETS BETTER Now they tell the board, “As a matter of law, statues preempt regulations, and either preempts policies.” “Policies that are not embodied in regulations do not have the force of law, and yield to regulations and statues.” These folks have a lot of nerve telling the Board how to interpret law! Hey everybody,
I was reading the change pages from the size reduction of the so-called clean energy Billerica Power Plant. I just want to share the great news they submitted. “The Project is expected to produce approximately (1st figure is 431,650) (the new figure is) 428,775 tons per year of Co2.”
Check-out this comparison. “On a per-Btu basis, this is less than half the Co2 emissions of a similarly-sized coal plant.”
Doesn’t everyone feel much better now?
Then they go on about how, “there is no requirement in state regulations to include any other air limitations imposed by other authorities.”
If they are correct, then it proves what I have been saying all along there are no laws to protect us from what these folks are proposing to do to our Valley!
Does this sound like a politically correct way to threaten to challenge the EFSB ruling if it does go their way?
Or enjoy sucking in 428,775 tons per year of Co2, ALL OF YOU IN THE MERRIMACK VALLEY CAN DECIDE!!!
