Hey group,
Has anyone seen the public notices which have been running in the Sun
on a daily basis? The notice is about the new trash policy being
implemented in Billerica, Effective October 1, 2007. Although the
Notice is greatly appreciated my question is, Why wasn't the power
plant proposal or even the meetings to discuss the proposal
advertised in the same aggressive way! The cost of trash removal is
costly, but how costly will a fossil fueled power plant be in
relation our area regarding health, environment and the Quality of
Life in our town and the Valley as a whole. I guess Air Quality and
our Water Quality is up for sale to the highest bidder and just not
important enough to advertise in this manner. Here is a basic fact
for survival of the human body; the body needs three elements to
survive, FOOD, WATER, AND AIR! If you take away or reduce the
quality of any of the three, lives become jeopardized! I hope
everybody is a registered voter, because if we can't even take the
time to vote then this selective thinking and hearing will continue
in our town and surrounding town's governments.
Think About it
Ed
is not here to promote drama or sensationalize any facts. We were
established to promote awareness and demand the truth about serious
community issues. If it were not for the Billerica Watchers most of
our community still would be unaware of this Power Plant Proposal and
the proponents of the project would be cursing through the permitting
process without having to answer any questions from the concerned
members of our communities until it was too late to ask them!
SUPPORT
It is like I openly stated at the town hearing regarding this fossil
fueled power plant proposal
IT IS TIME BILLERICA TO ASK YOURSELF, WHO IS PROTECTING YOUR BEST
INTERESTS???
