First, Welcome new members and we hope you can encourage all your
friends and neighbors to join. We are keeping quite busy attempting
to pry the truth out of the now desperate proponents of this power
plant fiasco at the state level, along with following other important
town issues.
New Members may find many documents of interest if they click on
Links, Files, and Messages which will lead to a lot of interesting
reading regarding many different issues.
To All Members I would like to refer to Page 8 of Sundays Sun where
there is ad for Billerica Energy Center and how many of you received
fluffy flyers in the mail this week? I would like to say to our
younger members that I remember when there were laws against
publishing such misleading information. Hmm, maybe there still is,
but I wonder if there still is, and how enforceable they still are?
I will attempt to keep this a brief as possible and we will post more
facts at the end of the week to enforce what the Billerica Watchers
are all about, "THE TRUTH," or I would not be saying this!
The claim of providing a reliable source to the Merrimack Valley is
subjective. ISO reports which the proponents filed at the state level
propose that the energy is needed in Greater Boston and Southern
Connecticut where the folks down there refuse to let them build these
so-called peakers.
Next is A Back-up Plan for the Power Grid; there are many better and
safer backup plans.
What it means for Billerica; they claim the plant will not run on
most days and will run in the Summer and Winter in extreme snaps of
weather, You Think About That One, and if so then they will be
burning Diesel Fuel at these times due to a shortage of Natural Gas!
A New Generation of Clean Power; Wind & Solar are Clean Power, not
any form of a fossil fuel!
The Health Study is Posted in our Files and Links Sections so you can
read it and see how the Study is done by Environmental Heath
and Engineering Co. and read the Disclaimer which is the last page
which tells you they will not stand behind the incomplete study and
with valid reasons. Harvard should file a law suit! Harvard did not
supply the data from which these studies were conducted; Earth Tech
did, a company hired by the Power Plant People!
A Track Record of Success; ask yourself success for who? Are they
talking about their pockets or the poor town taxpayers who pay for

At the bottom is a picture of what looks like three generations
behind a soccer ball. Sadly the April 24th Public meeting was held at
the Marshall Middle School at the same night they were taking
pictures of our town's children in their soccer outfits and many of
us were watching the children of our community walking around all
proud in their outfits. That was when many active members our town's
elected government and members of this group decided to get the truth
about this project, and we are still trying to pry it out of these
Billerica Energy People. We did find out that the most active
children like the ones we had seen will be the first affected, along
with our elderly population.
If you received a glossy flyer in the mail please refer to the
section where this desperate Media Campaign being conducted states
Residents will Not See, Hear, or Smell this Plant, and then tell me
if you feel as though your intelligence has been insulted by these
______, I let you pick the word from the Billerica Energy Center.
Become an active member and join our quest for the Truth, So we can
all enjoy a healthy and prosperous future in Billerica and the
Merrimack Valley.
