Dear Jane Burns,
I read your letter concerning the proposed new gas turbine power plant in Billerica. I agree with you that this would invite a lot of big business polluters to your town. It would affect my city of Lowell as well.
Since the gas and diesel back-up is still a fossel fuel and that we are running out of, this would be a short-sighted project and one that if they want to build, they probably will, since money seems to always talk.--Unless you as a town vote them out!! I worked with the Seacoast Anti-Pollution League that opposed Seabrook, and it seems all we were good for was to trouble-shoot their (Seabrook Power Plant's problems, so if you really don't think it is a good idea, stop it before the get too big for their britches.
