Power plant should be rejected

I am writing to voice my opposition to the misleading statements that Joe Fitzpatrick continues to make about the proposed power plant in Billerica.
The plant will be run by ISO-New England and will be run as a "reliability" plant and not a "peaking" unit that the average person thinks it will be. The plant will run nine hours a day, five days a week, 51 weeks per year to serve a lucrative Boston market. This is why they are trying to get permitted to run 2,300 hours per year. Do the math and you will see this is far in excess of the 200 to 400 hours a real "peaking" plant will run. People should go to the ISO-NE Web site and they would get an appreciation of how the system works and that another fast-start unit is only a moneymaker for the owners. I am hoping that you will permit a response, not this one, to Fitzpatrick's propaganda.
