Resident wants facts of power plant's impact

Believing in Mr. Fitzpatrick's glossy public-relations statements
certainly brings back fond memories of my childhood Christmases in
East Billerica.
If Mr. Fitzpatrick would like to play Santa, please have him supply a
20-foot sound wall on both sides of the power plant to protect the
residents. Or have him provide a balloon test to truly see the six
smokestacks that will forever change the landscape of Billerica. Or,
perhaps, if he is truly Santa, he won't need any water displaced from
the Concord River, and emissions will be zero. Speaking of zero
emissions, Mr. Fitzpatrick is also experienced in renewable energy,
so have him present a truly "green" proposal to the town of Billerica
and the surrounding communities.
Better yet, let's have the town put the proposed solar "farm" in the
old dump site. We can use this energy to power our Town Hall, town
offices, perhaps our schools, or maybe even sell this electricity,
which will provide an indefinite revenue for the town without any
associated health costs.
From attending the siting board hearings, watching his media blitz, I
do believe Mr. Fitzpatrick "doth protest too much," though I'm
certain Rudolph's shiny nose will guide him to the truth, and in his
heart, he will be willing to provide the truth to the public about
the proposed power plant.
Mr. Fitzpatrick, please give the town of Billerica and the
surrounding communities the true meaning of the season, the gift of
giving -- honesty and truth.

If Joseph Fitzpatrick, CEO of DG Clean Power, lived on Lowell Street
or Billerica Avenue, I wonder if he would still feel the same way
about the proposed energy plant?
