Hey Augustus,
Here is my response to Louis Antonellis Letter to the editor posted on the Lowell Sun site.
I was kinder then the second comment on the Sun web site which stated, “This is from the business development manger for IBEW 107, also the same man that was convicted for letting rats loose in a restaurant in Boston that would not use his union, he is also pro home depot. His view will change if his union is not selected.”

Read the EFSB Hearing Transcripts on http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BillericaWatchers/.
Like I told you before Lou, you are being played by this company, and we are prepared to come out to endorse the Solar and Wind agenda's proposed for the now useless landfills in our state. This agenda will provide more long-term jobs for our local union workers, construction workers and many of the local companies who provide the solar panels, storage batteries, and wind turbines. Long-term jobs which will strengthen the State’s economy, and provide cleaner air, and water resources for your “Taxpaying Young Family.” This plant cannot fire up in blackout conditions, the need for power is not for our area, and the term “impeccable resume” is highly questionable when you go the file and link sections area of the Billerica Watchers Web Site. The only “No-Brainer” here, is believing that the Limited Liability Corporation who will build this plant and then move on after transferring the ownership to another Limited Liability Corporation, would care about the “Young Families” of our area. Lou I never thought of you as a bad kid when you were growing up in our neighborhood, but you need to wake up and READ the Hearing Transcripts and checkout the Bellingham News Paper articles, along the Bellingham spills from the DEP's own site.

Augustus, I don’t know if you are Lou or one of his kids or not, but Lou knows me and he should know that I have been a straight shooter all my life and nothing has changed now that I am in my mid-fifties! I have nothing to gain from fighting for the best interest of the Merrimack Valley where I have enjoyed many of its pleasures for thirty years. After relocating from the Boston area I appreciated the rural setting and cleaner air and it offends me as it should any reasonable thinking person when an outrageous comment made by the proponent like:
“A study, released by Environmental Health and Engineering Inc., the town's consultant, led by Dr. John' Spengler of the Harvard School of Public Health, states that although the plant will emit pollutants, the emissions will not significantly lower the town's air quality. The study said nitrogen dioxide levels coming from the plant are anticipated to be 400 times lower than current concentrations in Billerica. Additionally, the level of particulate matter less than 10 microns in size is expected to be 200 times less than that currently in Billerica.”
FACT: It will still add to it!!!
The preliminary Air Impact Studies preformed for the Town of Billerica and paid for By DG Clean Power with data supplied by Earth Tech the firm hired by the DG Clean Power to permit this plant is clearly stated on the last page entitled, “Limitations” where the Harvard Professor Dr. Spangler from EH&E clearly states:
1. The services provided were based on the data provided to them and not on any scientific studies conducted by him or his company EH&E.
2. Parts of the site were limited and EH&E renders no opinion to the presence of chemical residues or to the evidence indirectly relating to the presence of chemical residues from the certain areas site which were not preformed. (which means no background contaminates were taken into consideration, which is done with every professional study unless there is something to hide”)
3. The samplings provided were limited in scope and therefore were not representative of areas not tested. (5 test wells were drilled on a 16 acre site on terrain which is wet and has areas of high contamination from the junk yard and illegal dumping from construction, for example, 495 and the Big Dig, whose hiding what? You can check with any creditable enforcement officer from Billerica who is familiar with the site)
4. Speaks for itself in saying, “When an outside laboratory conducted sample analysis, EH&E relied upon the data provided, and did not conduct an INDEPENDENT EVALUATION OF THE RELIABILITY OF THESE DATA.” I say the Harvard Dr. was covering his butt and did not believe or was willing to take the responsibility for the “Tweaked Data” supplied to him! (Go to files and read PERMIT TWEAKING and you will see how impeccable the person’s word is who supplied all the data for the Harvard Doctors study)
5. States, the study they did was to only to assess the characteristics of the site. (THIS IS NOT AN INDEPENDENT AND COMPREHENSIVE STUDY LIKE BILERICA’S TOWN MANAGER AND ASSESSOR IS ATTEMPTING TO HAVE US BELIEVE)
The water studies were averaged over the last 70 years, and the so-called experts claimed it was to insure accuracy. The Billerica population was approx 7,000 according to the 1940 census and is now approx 42,000, without even considering the growth and water use of the surrounding towns that utilize the waterways this is six times as much water usage which will not all be returned to the River.
THERE WERE NO WATER BANS YEARS AGO!!!
Augustus, Louis or whoever you are, READ THE TRANSCRIPTS, and watch how the so-called experts did a song and dance to avoid giving a direct realistic answer. I will say the direct answers they gave provide enough reason to stop this proposal dead in its tracks, right now.
If you want to know how I know all this? I was the one at the Energy Facility Siting Board Hearings asking them the questions!!!
To acknowledge a lie makes you part of the lie!!!
