First I would like to thank Mr. Fine for validating the point we have
been attempting to get across to many, we do not need this greedy
power peaking industry picking our pockets due to the price they
receive for the energy they produce, and destroying our communities
in the valley or anywhere else in the state. The Mass economy is
slowing down for many of us and there is no time or money to waste on
these expensive peaking power proposals, green energy whether it be
power or wind will provide good paying jobs for our state and boost
the economy overall. Think about it, if we have to pay a little extra
for our power it should go to clean energy, not fossil fueled plants
that can be permitted to run more fossil fuel or even dirtier fossil
fuel due to the terms in the Laws, "economic feasibility."
Here is why.
Schott Industry is a prime example of this fact. A little history,
Schott's makes solar panels and was ready to close down their
facility in Billerica not too long ago, which would have cost us tax
revenue and approx 300 jobs. A few months back, around the same time
the Brockton Co. showed interest in the useless landfill in town for
I think it was forty acres of solar panels, Schott's decide to keep
the facility open and revenue and jobs were saved. Many articles
relating to wind and solar companies moving into our state and area
have been printed, which will mean construction and trade jobs, along
with utilizing useless landfills.
CAUTION: When calling your congressmen or women to endorse the bill,
do not forget to also express your concern about the
words, "Conservation Tax Act of 2007." Endorse the principle of the
Bill, but ask who is going to be taxed? Will it be the consumer, the
motorist, or will it be the companies who will profit from this bill?
The average household is surviving on credit or is running over
budget, so do not forget to ask your congressperson to send you the
simple details relating to who the word TAX is aimed at! We cannot
all afford to go out and buy a hybrid vehicle tomorrow and those who
cannot afford to do not need the additional financial burden due to
not being unable to afford to. Many families, elderly, people on
fixed incomes, or people who lost their good paying jobs
to "Outsourcing" have enough additional costs to deal with.

Last week America moved closer to energy independence. We took a step
in the right direction when Congress passed H.R. 6, the Clean
Renewable Energy and Conservation Tax Act of 2007.
This bill will reduce our addiction to oil, while creating tens of
thousands of high-tech jobs. Unfortunately, the Senate did not pass
the legislation as written, with a vote on Friday, and now the
resolution is up for debate.
Now is the time to call your senators and tell them that you want the
Clean Renewable Energy and Conservation Tax Act of 2007 to be passed
with the incentive tax credits for solar and renewable energy.
Be one of the many voices reaching out to our senators and telling
them they need to support what 80 percent of America wants -- clean,
cost-effective, renewable energy here in America.
If your senators hear your voice, this historic bill will shift the
U.S. from 20th century energy policy to the 21st century.
This $21 billion tax measure reinvests unnecessary oil and gas
subsidies into carbon-free renewable technology such as solar.
Let your voice be heard. Make a difference in your world and your
children's world.
Sound your support for the Clean Renewable Energy and Conservation
Act of 2007.
