Hey Everyone,
We all know that emotions will be running high this year from many
issues facing our town and in other towns of our Valley. The best way
to vent your personal frustration relating to your concerns is to get
out and VOTE! Whatever your issue or concern is, there is a good
chance that it was caused by lack of participation in the past,
because you were busy and decided to let someone else deal with the
problem for you. Last election if I recall Billerica and other towns
in our Valley all averaged out with a turnout of about 20% or in the
low twenties, Not Acceptable! In Billerica the Major issue is the
Power Plant Proposal, with Home Depot, the Budget, Schools and others
which follow closely behind. Neighboring towns have overrides pending
and similar issues as Billerica. Some say, these problems will always
be there, which is correct, but the severity of the issues today
should be a wakeup call to us all. Complaining with taking any
personal effort to rectify the situation or doing the minimal
required will just worsen these many situations. I personally view
the power plant issue as the most critical, because it will affect us
all, but have also taken the time to study many of the other issues.
Whatever your concerns or issues are VOTE, or you will not have
anyone else to blame but yourself.
