Yea we did have a good hunt.
Finally got the two pups on a hog....I got an invite from Mike,Chris and Mandy,Mike has permission to hunt most of the city and county property. We went in to a large park north of Houston,loaded the Mule and headed in,stopped on a high line and let the dogs hunt....5-10 min in to it my Niko and Macy pups jumped one w/ the young dogs of theirs, I can't say who started the hog but I think it was Macy as she was yipping pretty good, they jumped him 60 yds from the ride and by the way she was yipping in the tall grass and making a small loop (maybe 80yd circle) the second time round the circle I was gonna head off the pups cause I thoght she was runnin a rabbit,bout that time the hog hit the high line,ran down the edge of the grass w/ the pups on his tail and went in and bayed in the same spot they jumped him. Got to see a old Catahoula bulldog me and Badger/Bob bred outa Leeah and Porky catch,reall good hunt and a perfect easy hunt for the pups...the ole hog did not fight much at all. He weighed 260#s on the scales and had about 2 1/2 in cutters. I wish I could have brought Izzy but did not want to wear out my welcome but he would have been a good hog for her.
