If you are interested in purchasing a any Molosser Bulldogs, Bulldogges, Bandogges, Mastiffs puppy or Dogs.
Every breeder should be asked to provide proof of their stock being free of Canine Hip Dysplasia. Tests can be done through OFA or Pennhip organizations and verified through them. All breeders of large dogs should be testing their stock for this condition. If not than be cautioned not to purchase a puppy if passing hip scores can not be proven by the breeder.
Make certain the breeder has paperwork to prove the puppy you purchase is a purebred. This is not always easy, but try having the breeder fax copies of their pedigree (along with hip scores). Try verifying the information with the official club for the breed you are interested in purchasing.
Avoid breeders who are not open to questions, who evade answering questions, who give assurances with no proof, or who become defensive when aasked questions regarding the health and temperment of their puppies. Anybody can get free fax from http://www.efax.com
