Sitting perched on a crested hilltop is Tarenia, the government Central of the area. A sort of macabre feeling blankets the vast city, but that is to be expected. It is, after all, inhabited by vampires. The small percentage of humans that live there are merely slaves, the playthings and dogs of their Immortal masters. Speak against your master, and it is a whipping that will follow.

Life for the humans is not completely horrendous, though. To the south of Tarenia is a district known as Imantra. While it, too, is governed by a vampire, Lord Roane is not the slave-holding type. More seasoned in his years than the rulers of Tarenia, Roane holds his territory with an iron fist and will allow no harm to come to the humans in the district. To him, humans are meant to live alongside vampires comfortably and, while they are the main food source, a vampire should have to work at catching a human for food, not simply have a supply at their disposal.

But of course, Tarenia must get their slaves from somewhere. And in fact, off to the west is Tamlin, the slave market. It is large enough to be called a district, because the auction houses cover a large surface area, but the rulers are still Illusia and Calaveras, who control Tarenia. Going to Tamlin is similar to going to the market on Saturday to stock up on food, for the vampires of Tarenia.

The vampire residents of Tarenia have been living in relative peace for centuries- with the exception of a few spats between the two sides of the Court- the French side and the Irish side. But suddenly, there has been word of uprisings from the South and word of some new disease has been leaked to Calaveras and Illusia. A disease that is capable of killing a vampire. Word has it that there are other vampires, from Imantra, making this disease, this virus, to oppose their rulers.

Curious, very curious. Calaveras and Illusia are seething about this new development, and plan to put an end to these heretics.

So where will you fall? Amongst the wealthy vampires in Tarenia? With the peaceful immortals and free humans of Imantra? A rebel? Or are you destined to live your life out as a slave, trapped between Tamlin and Tarenia for the rest of your life?
