The rules will start out brief and I hope to keep them that way. Just watch yourselves, rules will be added as needed.
1.) You must post on the 'community' board and wait to be accepted before playing a new character. I'll tell you now that I'm going to be a little bit overly harsh when accepting. Make everything descriptive and detailed. "Pretty, blond, long hair with soft features and blue eyes. She is 5 feet and 8 inches tall" is not going to cut it, at all.
2.) A new sample post is required for each new character, regardless of previous characters' acceptance. I require this because the sample post gives us the first real peek into your Character. Additionally, it can help you really get a feel for the character before you've even joined it. Plus, hey, it's sorta fun. Your sample posts may be recycled, but they must be from the character that you are joining (ie you may not use an example post from Marie to join Erin.) Additional rules regarding joining are on the community board. Please read the whole header before posting.
3.) Content and Quality: Have it in your posts. I'm not going to put a number on the required words, but I'll say that 300 should be low. I understand that if your character is in conversation it is difficult and unnecessary to have a particularly lengthy post, but in general please do not create small and otherwise bad posts. I'll be watching and offer a little warning if I don't approve.
4.) If you are going to be away for more than a few days, please post how long you'll be gone and all the characters you play on the member status board. I would also appreciate it if you post there if you are quitting one or all of your characters or if you would like a house or business taken down. We will have activity checks as often as I see fit, not more than once per month.
