Sometime in the early 60's the word DISCOTEQUE came to be. I think I was in Halsey and went to the Boulevard to hear the Tokens and had bought a new dress with ruffles and it was called a Discoteque dress.
As far as Pladium (notice the spelling) it was off limits for the girls......
I don't remember anything called Lloyd's but do recall a place called Henry's. Could you be thinking of the spot where the THE DEN was. Not D's Den or Pizza Den.
Of all the nabes in NY, FH's still ranked number 1. In 2003, I moved back from FL and was in FH's for about 2 years. Still many of us in the nabe.
