I knew Selwyn from playing sports and "hanging" with him in and around PS 220 from the fall 1964 - 1966. The spring of 1963 would find Selwyn at Halsey JHS where I would think there was not that much homework.
He started Queen's College in the fall of '66 and I lost track. In about 1971 one nite I bumped into him at a Cab Co. in Rego Pk. where we both drove during the Jimmy Carter yrs. He told me he intended to buy a medallion in the near future, his father being an owner/driver.
Selwyn was very bright, I believe that was an AP Chemistry class. A good athlete, moving well despite being a big-guy. I was not in his class socially, academically or athletically. He loved the Beach Boys, I was in his house one time and he played their records.
I enjoyed your note, typical Bromberg. I regret to inform you Selwyn is deceased according to a mutual friend, some how when I wrote my original note about him his passing was not clarified, me being technologically challenged.
