First I would like to introdue myself: My name is David Converse, My first presidential campaign was 1964. I was a labor leader in Michigan for many years and was president of the Calhoun County AFL-CIO. I am now retired and I am active in local and democratic politics. now to my purpose of this message: I am leading an effort to at least in our area, to insist that our leaders address the issues we as citizens face. I have been following Congressman Kucinich's remarks since he announced and find he is among the very few who need no help in talking about real issues and what to do about them!! We will be holding round table discussions and town hall meetings along with a concerted effort to bring the issues to the public's attention by local public tv and letters to the local papers. If the campaign could provide me with position papers on such subjects as Social Security, health care, trade, war, "war on the middle class" we would love to incorporate your positions in the discussions. Further if Mr. Kucinich would be interested in my help in South Central Michigan I would be happy to hear from the campaign. Simply e-mail me and I will respond. Respectfully, David Converse
