Kampe "Candidates, no matter how important or influential they perceive themselves to be, do not have and should not have the power to determine who is allowed to speak to the American public and who is not," Dennis Kucinich said in a statement released by his campaign (July 13). Just another example of how Kucinich plays by two sets of rules. Consider his refusal for the past five years to defend his record in any local debate with either fellow Democratic or Republican opponents for his congressional seat. Is it any wonder why, in his 11-year reign, he has helped lead Northeast Ohio and the city of Cleveland into becoming, arguably, the poorest major city in the United States? Good luck as you look around for Kucinich's contributions to the region.

I am amused by the reaction of our 10th District congres sional "representative" regarding the off-microphone comments made by the front-runners for the Democratic nomination for president, who wish to limit the number of fringe players like himself at debates.
