Critics charge Congressman Dennis Kucinich's run for President is taking too much time and energy from his real job.
Kucinich staged a media event to recite recent accomplishments bringing back dollars for the 10th District.
Federal dollars are coming for road improvements in Garfield Heights, a Lakewood high tech company, a countywide radio system, a program teaching inner city teens about gardening and special equipment to help disabled workers.
"It's important to let people know I've been able to achieve this success in the House of Representatives. I think results speak for themselves," Kucinich said.
Rosemary Palmer is challenging Kucinich. She's a Democrat. She says Kucinich is missing too many votes like the recent one on the 9-11 Commision's recommendations.
"What's unusual is he would miss a vote on Homeland Security. I've heard a lot of people saying we haven't seen much of him. You have to set priorities. I think we know where his priorities are," Palmer said.
All the funding described by Kucinich is in the House version of the budget, awaiting action by the Senate and approval of the President.
Kucinich credited Rep. Stephanie Tubbs-Jones with working for several of these causes.
Kucinich is up for reelection next year.
