Dennis Kucinich recently took action against two TV networks for trying to keep him out of their debates. He also sued the Texas Democratic Party because it denied him the right to participate in the state's primary because he refused to sign a statement pledging support for the eventual primary winner. And Kucinich is at odds with his book publisher because he refused to sign its contract. All of these activities have occurred quite recently.
Dennis Kucinich is still running for the Democratic nomination for president, despite his poor showing in most polls. Who in his right mind believes that Kucinich is giving the proper effort to his position as U.S. representative of Ohio's 10th Congressional District? Cleveland is a city fraught with problems and certainly deserves much better representation than we are getting. The taxpayers are paying a six-figure salary to this man!
And, while Kucinich travels to Hawaii, New Hampshire, etc., Mike Dovilla, his Republican adversary in the last election, has just returned from duty in Iraq. I find it ironic that Kucinich is bitterly complaining to the networks that refuse to let him participate in debates when that is exactly what he did to Dovilla by refusing to debate him many times.

Every two years, we have the opportunity to fire our representative to the U.S. House of Representatives. So why in the world hasn't Dennis Kucinich been fired yet? He isn't my representative, but isn't it time to give someone else in his district an opportunity to try his or her hand at tackling the multitude of problems we all face? We should be reading about the bold and daring plans, grounded in realism, that our elected officals are putting forth, not about odd public behavior.
Perhaps Northeast Ohio deserves the malaise that permeates most aspects of our world. Maybe we've all given up on the possibility of moving our cause forward? If you haven't, then please give someone else a chance. What in the world do you have to lose?
