Dear All:
Just a note to speak of the “Baylor College of Medicine Unofficial ACLAM Study Group.” This is the name of our study group, that I lead. Our study group members come from all over the country, and one was working in France this last year. There were 81 vets who took the ACLAM Board Exam, the pass rate was about 53%.
There were 6 members of our study group that sat for the ACLAM Board Exam and six out of six passed. I am not trying to brag about our study group, but I am really happy with the results and very proud of our members that accomplished this difficult task.
Our study group didn’t make these individuals smarter and we didn’t make them spend the many, many hours studying that are absolutely required to start to grasp the amount of information necessary to pass the ACLAM Board. What I hope we provided, and will continue to provide to group members, was some of the necessary information, in a somewhat organized and grouped manner, that allowed them time to study and not spend the majority of their study time trying to find the necessary materials and organize it into a learnable format.
If anyone knows of a person who is preparing to take this exam in the future, please tell them about our group. All vets that will actively participate in the preparation of the study material are welcome to join. Most of our correspondence is by email and the actual study review sessions are conducted on the internet. If their schedule doesn’t permit them to attend the internet study sessions, the reviewed information is still theirs to study. If you know of vets planning on sitting for the ACLAM Board in the future, and you think they could profit from our study group, please have them contact me directly.
Sincerely,
Claude
