Posted by hennamuse I know an ink artist who wont put any names on a person unless its the names of their children or someone who's passed. He said that in the first few years he worked, before he had that rule, every single name he did came back within a year for a cover-up. He felt he was jinxing relationships so he just refused to do anymore! I worked a festival once where all the boys kept asking me for confederate flags. I said no. After like 15 requests, I figured maybe it was a southern thing rather than a racist thing, so I went against my instinct and agreed. Before I got started he said "oh, wait, could you do a swastika?" Umm, NO! Bounced him right out the tent. To me, one of the greatest benefits of working for my self is that I never have to do anything that damages my integrity. After waiting tables for drunks and truckers at Denny's all the way through college, that means A LOT! I'm likin' the skeez tax though! LOL
