Managers' meeting: 2:00pm Friday. Location TBD by Friday, 9/26/08 A blind draw will take place to seed teams in the tournament.
Team check-in: 3:30-5:30pm Friday. Location TBD by Friday, 9/26/08 Each player will have their ID checked against the roster we receive from the Home Office. The player will sign in and we will place the tyvek wristband on the player.
Games will begin Friday evening at 6:00pm. Teams were notified well in advance to be ready to play at 6:00pm so this should not be an issue. We will also host a hitting contest Friday night at 7:00pm on two fields at Cherry Park. We will play games on five fields (3 at Cherry, 2 at Hargett) Friday night and will complete four rounds of games (6:00, 7:15, 8:30 and 9:45). Games will resume Saturday morning at 8:00am on seven fields (5 at Cherry, 2 at Hargett). Championship game will be scheduled at 11:45am on Sunday with a 1:00pm 'IF' game, provided we do not have any weather delays.
Hitting contest at 7:00pm Friday night: Entry fee is $10 for 10 pitches / swings. The idea is to hit the ball in between cones set up at 275' and a fence at 300'. Tommy Zehmer will outline the rules at the Manager's Meeting and we will have handouts for the players.
