Hi Barbara,
The older I get , the more I try to stay in tune as to what is good, clean, and healthy;both for my own food consumption, and that of my pets.
Being a child of the 50's/60's, I am sorry to say for a very long time I had a very Laizez Faire attitude.
I feel that guilt more so now that I am a grand-parent-What kind of a world have I left for my beautiful grand-daughter? I am trying to be most vigilant in making up for lost time.
We must ALL pay attention, read labels for ingredients, realize that China is killing us and our pets. We must seek out information, utilize a gift from God=COMMON SENSE.
Although I wouldn't consider myself brilliant, I have been blessed with common sense, Many,Many brilliant people do not have a lick of common sense.
I concur with you whole heartedly, if we holistically stengthen our own immune systems, and those of our pets, we can fight off almost any so called major disease.
I never have had a flu shot, my wife will kill me for divulging this, I do not see doctors very often at all=I am very rarely ill, never never really sick.
I eat healthy, I exercise, I walk, I drink lots of water OF COURSE I TAKE OO FISH OIL=folks again I am not a genius and I am not trying to be arrogant here either.
Barbara is right on-wash your hands , use some bleach, don't take the word of a vet or a doctor as GOSPEL, contrary to SOME of their egos, they are not god, they too are human, and in the percentage of the cases they are in cahoots with the big pharmas.
Pills , potions , salves, etc. some do indeed have there place, but be cognizant that Many- Many natural cures work wonders.
My cats are 17 years old , and like any of us ,the aging process sucks- but my cats persevere: even my Harry , who is in the final chapter of his bout with renal kidney failure and diabetes.
But something as simple as giving him a daily intra veinous saline replenishment of fluids,giving him fish oil, NOT FEEDING HIM TABLE SCRAPS, has made him revisit his youth to some degree.
We sometimes get swayed by the advertisements or is it a form of brain washing from the pharmas?.
