Many of you may not be aware or refuse to face it but the rising costs of everything is affecting all of us and it has now hit the dog supply market. Their foods are more costly and tho I am a raw feeder and make a lot of the foods and scavange the processing people for scraps that humans will not eat it still becomes essential to find new ways to provide well for our dogs. I personally will be raising a pig this year for a pork supply and I already raise a small flock of chickens for fresh eggs. Yesterday I scrambled 3 dozen for a dog snack. 
I grow what I can for personal use, chicken feed and dog supplement. No big thing as I love doing it.
However because the foreign countries (China) are now demanding our major supply of fish oil we are going to be hard put to have enough for ourselves and the price will increase. Should our dogs suffer because our government finds ways to give away most every thing we have? You might want to check with your local politicans on this as they are in an election year and that can perk up their hearing ability. 
Small business's are suffering because of these policies. Our Ocean Omega fish oil is going to be in jeopardy and if the demand is too great we may have to buy from China. FAT CHANCE!!!!! 
Can you imagine the UPS shipping on that one.
and it will be laced with anti-freeze.
My point is we need to support our supplier and continue to use these products in hopes that it will help fray the increased cost to them if they can do volume. Do not let the health of your pet and mine fall by the wayside because of politics.
If you have any doubts about the value of these products I can certainly vouch for the fact that they have made major differences in my charges and have increased life spans and the general health of my dog friends. I am a simple person but my dogs are very important and have made my life special.
I will always advocate for pets. We do have a voice and the recall proved that one loud and clear. Many dog food companies are suffering for being lax and now have had to actually make their foods better and not just get away with putting it in prettier bags. We made them stand up and be counted. People are becoming aware that we are once again being taken by big money and using our pets as a tool to grab more and more and give less and less.
Lets work together and make sure our supplier will be there when we need them. I will now step down off my soap box and feed my hungry pack.
