Hello I have a few questions.It is so nice to see a board that real subjects can be talked about without having to write a survey on who you are.I have been raising dogs for thirty plus years.I love the Olde English Bulldogge but I also have some general concerns.With so many OEB registries out there what are the best to choose?Some boards I visit are very rude.They leave people out and make mean remarks about some peoples dogs.Why is that?Just my general opinion.What makes a good breeder?Everyone is talking about new breeders but sometimes new breeders can have alot of knowledge with the right motives.Should breeding rights be given?Who qualifies an individual to be a breeder?What I have seen that money does a lot of the time.Most breeders charge extra for breeding rights as if some of these dogs aren't out of most peoples budgets as it is.Don't get me wrong I know how much time,money,effort,ect,goes into puppies,but that is true with all breeds of dogs.Who sets the standard for prices in a breed?Does price make a responsible breeder?I don't think so.I think every breeder should base it on a case by case scenario.Just cause somebody pays for breeding rights does not qualify them.Then you have the variance in looks.I have seen some "top" kennels throwing out dogs with longer noses.Why do those kennels critisize others dogs when they have some turning out like that?Especially if they came from there kennel.Why are F1 and F2 still being bred?Where is the lineage?What makes a OEB "famous"?What do yall consider the ideal OEB?Cause I do not see all the dogs that really resamble each other.I thought Oldes where meant to be healthier than the English,why are alot of people going after the English look?Breeders act like the American looking Oldes should be banned,but come on people these are living things.They need to be treated with more respect.Shouldn't Oldes have there own looks not American and not English?I think that breeders should critique each other,not be mean,but also not be dishonest cause your friends.The real subjects need to be brought up to better the breed not just pictures shown.Thank you and good day.
