The most conformation shows seem to be held by the IOEBA or the WBA. You would have to register your dogs with them in order to show and they would have to fit their breed standard. I am not sure if the CKC holds many events. Mostly performance like obedience and agility I think.
For weight pulling you can go to The IWPA or APA websites and see if there are any events coming near you. That is the best way to get into weight pulling. Go watch an event and start talking to people about training. Most of the people associated with these events are very friendly and willing to help new people get started. Weight pulling is our sport of choice and we are in the process of training some of our dogs now. They should be ready for next season!!
I don't know much about competition obedience or agility shows. We teach the basics for obedience but that's about all. There are some obedience and agility clubs in our area so there might be some near you that can help you get started with that.
