I showed AKC Comformation for 17 + yrs.
The best way to learn is to find shows go & watch & talk to the BREEDER HANDLERS..
Pro. Handlers probaly wont give you the time of day, Most dont have the time to give as some show as many as 15 dogs a day..
But if you wait untill the breed classes are over & find the Breeder Handlers hopefully their will be one you can talk to..
Or find someone who is Breeder Handler in your area & ask them to help you out or if theirs a Conformation Class around...
A lot can depend on the dog..
Some dogs just LOVE to strut their stuff
And almost show them selfs
Others would just rather not & I've seen some do some Horribly Funny things in the ring when they didnt want to be their
I like to "show train " all my puppies if their showable( purebred )or not ( hybrid )
It's nice to have them stackd for pics. & nice for letting others get a good hands on with them...
Comformation is FUN but not as easy as it looks
