Mike- Are you familiar with how many strains of bulldogs Greg produced and what he used for the crosses? There was a large strain that he produced mostly for his personal stock. Large Hermes males crossed into females like Voodoo and Queenie. The Romans had dogs direct from the Alaunt dog which were used as a war dog and to fight lions, bears, etc..... Read my breed standard/type. It has the history behind the name.
