Here is MY answer about what I will remember about this year’s Nabs Weekend. Each year has presented a different set of challenges, but each year has had a special blessing that stands out above the rest. This year I felt that most of the typical “reunion anxiety” has now dissipated. We are comfortable with each other. We are relaxed. We have dropped every bit of pretension and are into deepening friendships. I saw that. I saw people picking up where they left off last year, getting realistic with each other and building deep friendships with Bearcats of all ages. Jimmy Pryor said below “trusting people with your friendship.” I like that. I also heard people say that it was sad to say goodbye this year. Eight years ago, who knew this would happen. I don’t think this is something that anyone can “plan.” We are all blessed.
