This month of May has been quite full for Kel and me. Started off the first full week in New York City. Business first and a little fun second. Weather was perfect. Lots of walking. As much as five miles one time...with a group to visit a Ping Pong Bar. Yes. We played ping pong in New York. Our hotel was in the Financial District, directly across the street from 9/11 Memorial. Kinda wish I had not seen that. Many mixed feelings. Kel and I love NYC...have been many times, but would not want to live there. The people take a little getting used to but we have never found them to be unfriendly....maybe because they just like to hear us talk.
The next week took me (with my daughter Kim) on a road trip to Hamburg, AR. Talk about a culture change! But I am a small town girl so I managed just fine and made several friends before I left. Hamburg has a beautiful town square. Kim was busy at the Courthouse taking a deposition. I served as her unpaid, unqualified paralegal. On the drive down, we stayed at the Alluvian in Greenwood and had dinner at Giardina’s. All very very pleasant but quite different from NY. I’m versatile if nothing else....and it helps to be genuinely interested in people. Ok...that gets us to night before last. Today, after teaching my yoga class, I start packing for two weeks in Europe. Going to Paris, Florence, Rome. Will return June 01. Our two daughters are going too. In fact, they planned to whole trip.
THEN....when we return In June...we get serious about NABS PARTY! Are you ready?

Kaye, Florence is my favorite city ever! You will love it! Just seeing "The David" is worth the trip! While in Paris please plan a guided day trip to Normandy! You cannot miss Normandy! Wish we were going with you! Love love love Europe! Have a wonderful trip!
I second the idea of going to Normandy if you have the time. We spent a week there in 2014 and wished we had more time there. Hopefully we will make it back next year for a longer visit. The photo is one of my favorites from the town of Bayeux, near Omaha Beach.
