One of the most popular, well liked Class of 70 has left us . My friend, Classmate, Teammate and across the creek neighbor John David Calhoun passed away last night. Back in the day JD was strong as a bull and tough as a railroad spike. Condolences and prayers for Tina, the girls and his Calhoun siblings. Rest In Peace #44. You will be missed my friend.
John David Calhoun, age 69, of Hinds County, Mississippi, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 23, 2022. He later attended Mississippi State where he played football and was an AP/UP SEC Defensive Player of the Week in 1972. John David was an entrepreneur owning several businesses as well as being an ordained minister. He was a gifted singer, songwriter, and artist who was self taught and could develop any talent he set his mind to. Thank you for posting. It’s sad. Pray for Tena and their children’s families who will greatly miss him. He was a great spiritual leader for his family. 🙏
Condolences to the Calhoun family. So many Bearcat classes had a member of the Calhoun clan. I know I did, and we loved her dearly. Sherry and Joe, until recently I did not know that your baby sister Tena was married to JD. My thoughts and prayers are with them.
