This note is from Norman Williamson. I’m hoping that the link works; it might not. This contribution is so timely, though, that if it does not, I will try to post a different way as in page by page.
From Norm:
“Our “coffee club” recently lost Joe Zadareky, USAF retired and our Nation’s first Drug Czar (when Bush senior was VP).
Steve Plummer (USAF GO and recently retired as President, Rolls Royce USA) and I had a cup of coffee Friday with Joe’s son who shared that Joe’s uncle was a Navy Chaplain at Pearl Harbor when it was attacked. Attached is the sermon he gave after the attack.
As we near Dec 7th, this is reflective of that day in 1941.”
The sermon at the end of the “Critical Analysis of 1941 Pearl Harbor Sermon” submitted by Norm should be read by a veteran in church if on Dec 7 & school during that week every year. Thank you Norm!!
Thanks Joe for your comment. Hopefully more readers will respond to your post. I have a 1st cousin who is a retired Navy Chaplin who retired as the Navy's Pacific Chaplin (to include Pearl Harbor) and he has sent this to the Navy's retired chaplin association. This is a piece of dour history that has been los. Many of these sailors served together on the Maryland for 18 years. Unbelieveable!
