Brent, I still believe the point is still simple and being missed.
1. Flickr won't be there forever.
2. It won't be manageable as it grows.
3. IT takes very little extra effort to take a picture and have it last forever.
Such a waste to take a picture that last a year instead of taking a picture that lasts forever...
Sigh.
