Mercury Cougar Glasses

I have a set of Mercury Cougar drinking glasses. They are clear glas with a silver plated rim and silver Cougar emblem on them. I've been trying to find information on these glasses but have been unsuccessful. Can anyone point me in the direction of a resource where I might find their value and what they were created for?
