I look forward to the meeting and will have lots of glasses for sale or trade. I thought I would recap some of the information posted before about the regional PGCA meeting ...
The rates for this meeting at the Baymont Hotel are $64.99 a night, mention the PGCA when you call. We will have a large room for selling and trading glasses with lots of shelving.
Glass selling and buying and trading on Friday,April 6 starting in the afternoon through evening. Saturday we will have Dinner 6PM, Club meeting 7PM, Saturday April 7. Will have information on local shops available both days.
Larre has arranged a large room on the first floor that we can all setup glasses, and he has lots of shelves that can be used.
The meeting will be Fri April 6 and Saturday April 7 at the Baymont Hotel in Greenwood, In. 46143. Baymont Hotel is located just off I-65, at 1281 S. Park Dr., Greenwood, IN 46143. Phone is 317-865-0100 or www.baymontinns.com. This is 10 miles south of Indianapolis, IN.
Here are some Antique Malls in the area - you can look up specific addresses online. If you need more info let me know. I will be bringing to the meeting on Fri and Sat a few of the local Antique directory magazines that have the local Indiana shops.
Exit 76 - south of Indpls, in Edinburgh, off I-65, one exit north of Columbus, IN.
Southport Antique Mall - on Southport road, west of I-65, in Southport, IN which is between Indpls and Greenwood, south side of Indpls.
Gilley's Antique mall - Plainfield, IN - west of Indpls about 10 miles, right on US40, on west side of Plainfield. There is a small mall right in Plainfield and 2 Shelly's Closet shops. The Shelleys closet shops do not have too many glasses but you never know, I have found glasses there before.
There are antique malls in the downtown area of these nearby Indpls cities, they are almost always in the town square area. Plus most malls have a local 1 page advertising paper that shows other places.
Noblesville - north side
Westfield - this mall is east of Westfield, on the main road from Noblesville to Westfield.
Greenfield - east side, on US40 - there are other shops on US40 all the way out to Centerville, IN near Richmond - there is a big mall in Centerville, IN.
Bloomington - 2 or 3 antique malls, 2nd st, 7th st. nice town, college town - IU
Lafayette, IN - several shops, need local guide to find them, not in town square. Leaping Leopard or something like that, is a good second hand shop right next to it.
Rennsalaer - might have mispelled that city, is north of Lafayette, IN - is next to Greene's furniture, has a "Exit xx" type name, not sure of name.
Madison, IN - 2 hours south, lots of shops there, have got good glasses there many times.
and there are about 40 Goodwill Stores and also other brands of thrift shops in central Indiana.
