Re: 1973 Warner Bros. Pepsi Glasses
I do think that the Federal thin white letter Tasmanian Devil glass is somewhat harder to find than most of the other of that thin white letter glass group but is not rare or scarce, just somewhat harder to find. There are I think some differences in color on the Tasmanian Devil - we would want to hear from some other collectors on that - I know I have seen ones that seem pretty "orange" where most are brown - but do not know which version of glass blank the differences are on, nor if both color versions exist on the same glass blank. I would also think that opinions about which glasses are hard to find will vary in different parts of the country if the person is looking in shops in those areas, instead of online. For myself I would buy a Federal thin white letter (or black letter for that matter) Tasmanian Devil glass for a higher price or more likely to buy it for resale, than the other characters in that group of thin white letters, but a lot of that is that the Taz glass is in demand - both for collectors and casual buyers who like the character. The same can be said about the Tweety glass, I sell those very well and I think often to people that just like Tweety! is a popular character. So the popularity of the character also affects how many are now available and then of course the price. The white letter thin glasses are not often seen in my area of midwest so it was hard for me to have much of an opinion on which certain ones might be harder to find. It definitely is a challenge to "get them all" I have tried twice and in both cases end up missing a few, but I will not pay really high prices either. Thanks for the questions - I think this "set" is one that has started a lot of collectors and is still very popular, as it should be, with all the neat Warner Bros characters.
