No, actually I knew that they would give me 90% of what I was approved for, which, according to my other cards is in the ballpark. However.....talk about math incompetents....I made a little mistake in figuring that nixes the whole deal. They wanted a one-time fee of 3%. I did the math, but put the decimal in the wrong place, and got $51.10 as the fee. When I got to the bank, they figured 3% as $510.00!
Was my face red! They figured the savings with amortization (as I didn't have the tools to do) at about $600. That would mean a net savings of under $100. I don't think it's worth doing for that amount. Other than it gets the deed free and clear from the bank right now rather than 17 months from now, which is my target date.
