The film's portrayal of Patton is less than flattering. In it, he is said to be somewhat of a loose cannon, occasionally forgetting that even three star generals must follow orders given by superior officers. He antagonizes our allies and his battle plans, lacking in subtlety, get thousands of our people killed needlessly.
In this morning's nyTimes.com, there's a column written by Timothy Egan entitled "Trump Is The Poison His Party Concocted". It's worth a read.
"Now, Donald Trump - the Gen.G.S. Patton of politics?" you asked to which I must answer, "Absolutely"!
