Abortion is sometimes done due to the medical condition of the mother or the medical condition of the embryo/fetus, but it is most likely a choice due to the absence of the male involved, or the absence of support of the male involved in the situation. Looking back over nearly 8 decades, I can't remember too many situations where the male partner is over the moon, completely present, and gung-ho about a pregnancy, and the female partner is not. I would say the preponderance of those seeking to abort are usually dependent young girls who have been loved and left to face an uncertain future in shame. Male politicians should not have the power over her ability to make a decision on what is best for her. When men suffer the consequences of reproduction and child-rearing in the same measure as women, only then can their opinions be counted as equal.
